The Frankenstein Chronicles II comes to Netflix!

We were delighted to have worked on the full series of The Frankenstein Chronicles Series II in 2017 starring Sean Bean, with the show airing back in November. We were kept busy designing set extensions for a dark and melancholy 1830s London,  full CG establishers and macro CG shots of a female automaton that featured throughout the show.

The series has now been picked up by Netflix and will run as a Netflix Original in the U.S., with availability also in the UK.

Following on from Series 1, the VFX helped to set the scene in telling the story of John Marlott (Bean's character) as he struggles with issues such as life and death, class affliction and religion in a poverty stricken, dangerous and dreary part of London.

3D lead Dan Newlands says, "we loved carrying out detailed research into the Pye Street area of London, and laid out concepts based on paintings, blueprints and documents we could find from the same era. It was great to delve into the history of a city that we all know and bring it to life on screen."
